...

I'm just back from a week in Turkey. Unfortunately it rained every day we were there, but it didn't spoil the trip, which was amazing from start to finish.

We had a few days in Istanbul, saw the Blue Mosque (above), Topkapi Palace, rummaged in the markets at the Grand Bazaar, lay by the pool on the brief occasion the sun came out, crossed from Asia to Europe and back again by ferry, saw the whirling dervish, did a day trip to Gallipoli, ate a lot of Turkish Delight, and just generally soaked up the sights and sounds. Then on to Cappadocia, where we stayed in a cave hotel, went hot-air ballooning, went to a Turkish hammam, and pottered around the local shops and cafes.

I have hundreds of photos to sift through, but will be sure to post a few soon.
